Let your bot
do the work.

Just over a minute: what Grok Bot is, and what you’ll learn here.

Part A

Getting started

Learn what a bot does, set it up, and build your first one.

  1. Lesson 01 Chat vs. bot: what’s the difference? A chat answers you. A bot opens the site, does the work, and stops before anything important.
  2. Lesson 02 Plans and setup Which plan you need, what it costs, and how to install and sign in on your computer and phone.
  3. Lesson 03 Your first bot Name, role and description, a five-minute first task, how to talk to it, and your language and time zone.
  4. Lesson 04 Trust, one step at a time Start small, approve what matters, and let your bot do more as it earns your trust. Also covers passwords and SMS codes.
  5. Lesson 05 Skills and routines: teach it once Save a task that worked as a skill, put it on a schedule, and test it before you switch it on.
  6. Lesson 06 Pages: a report or tracker from your botNew Your bot builds a styled report, dashboard or tracker, changes it when you ask, and keeps it up to date with a routine.
  7. Lesson 07 More than one bot: teams, a lead bot and templates When another bot makes sense, how bots hand work to each other, and how to share a bot or add someone else’s.
  8. Lesson 08 Government sites, banks and sites that block bots Why government sites, banks and health portals sometimes block your bot, and how to work with them anyway.
  9. Lesson 09 Grok Bot and X Your bot reads public posts on X, and you can hand it a task right from a post by tagging @bot.
  10. Lesson 10 Something’s not working? Check in this order Signing in, a computer that won’t respond, a stuck bot, a routine that didn’t run, and running out of quota.

Part B

Bots

Pick a bot and build it. The first ones are the easiest.

Questions

How much does it cost?

The guide is free. Grok Bot itself needs a Premium plan or higher, starting at $30 a month.

Do I need to know how to code?

No. You write to your bot in plain words, or just talk to it.

Where do I start?

Just tell it what you want: a goal, something that bugs you, a task you’re tired of doing. It takes it from there. You approve anything important, like sending or buying.
