In Grok Bot

Short updates from the official changelog, only what matters when you work with your bot. A change that affects a lesson goes into the lesson too.

  1. : version 0.78.1

    • Shopping with your bot shows products in the chat as cards with a photo, rating, price and store. On a product page, Buy now starts an order you approve, and after you order, your bot tracks it and tells you when it ships and when it arrives (Compare prices before you buy).
    • You connect Shop Pay in the Vault’s Payments tab, then pick it when you pay or make it the method your bot uses first.
    • Your bot can cancel a subscription, or look up its price and renewal date, and confirms with you before changing anything. New templates: Find unused subscriptions cancels plans you pick, Watch subscription prices checks renewal prices, and Try it, don’t pay for it starts a free trial for you and cancels it, or reminds you, before it bills (Card Checker).
  2. : version 0.77.0

    • Settings has a Permissions section that lists your Auto-review rules under Always Ask and Allow without Asking, each with its own Add Rule button (Set rules in advance).
    • Approval cards stay open for 30 minutes instead of 10. Auto-review also lets through more private actions you can undo without a card, and background work you start in your own words no longer waits for approval to start.
    • The Vault has a Payments tab where you pick the payment method your bot uses first, and each item has a Hints field that tells your bot when to use it. Your bot tries what’s saved in the Vault first when it signs in or pays (Passwords and SMS codes).
    • 1Password connects without a shared vault: you approve each sign-in in 1Password, which fills it in your bot’s browser without your bot seeing the password.
    • You can bring what another AI assistant knows about you into your primary bot, with Import Memory to Grok Bot in Settings (Your first bot).
    • Your bot can ask several questions on one card that steps through them, with Your own answer when none of the choices fit.
    • New templates: Order Concierge tracks orders, refunds and returns, and Deal Watcher watches prices and coupons. Neither buys anything without your OK.
    • Connect buttons now say Connect, a signed-out plugin shows Not connected, and one that stopped working offers Reconnect (A plugin won’t connect). When Gmail signs you out, your primary bot tells you in its chat and offers to reconnect.
    • Page owners can delete a Page from the Library, which removes it for everyone it was shared with (Pages).
  3. : version 0.75.8

    • Your bot can offer to add, change or remove one of your Auto-review rules, on a card you confirm. Needs Grok Bot 0.75.2 or later (Set rules in advance).
    • Auto-review takes a second look before it shows an approval card, so fewer safe actions need one. Your bot saving or editing one of its own routines no longer counts as risky by itself.
    • When background work finishes, your bot completes what you asked, including steps you said to take once it was done. For the next step, it tells you what it would do instead of doing it on its own.
    • When scheduling, your bot uses the calendar you’ve connected, Google Calendar or Outlook Calendar, and offers to connect one only when neither is.
  4. : version 0.75.5

    • Your bot can save your logins, cards and contact details to a Vault in Settings, and fill them in to sign in or check out. Needs Grok Bot 0.75.2 or later (Passwords and SMS codes).
    • An email or Slack message you ask your bot to send goes out once Auto-review allows it. Sends from routines still wait as drafts (An email address for your bot).
    • After you press Deny, your bot stops and doesn’t try that action again until you send another message.
    • Your bot can forward an email from its own inbox, with the original formatting, images and attachments.
    • Your routines can run up to 300 times an hour in total, up from 100, and each routine up to 200 times.
  5. : version 0.75.2

    • Your bot builds Pages: reports, dashboards and trackers that you edit together or that it keeps up to date (new lesson: Pages).
    • Your bot can create videos from a description or from an image you share.
    • What a personal bot saves to memory in one chat, it remembers in all your chats with it.
    • Deleting a bot permanently erases its conversations, memory, routines and attachments.
    • Routines can read your bot’s inboxes, and voice calls can draw on your earlier calls and recent chat.
    • Your bot can also pay with Shop Pay (Price Checker).
