Keys · Bitcoin and crypto, starting with the basics

Bitcoin and crypto, made clear.

We help individuals, teams, and business owners understand Bitcoin, wallets, and crypto products in plain language: what they are, how they work, why people use them, and what they could mean in practice.

Keys is a private educational working session built around your questions. Start with “What is Bitcoin?” or bring a product, provider, or business idea. We begin at your level and go as deep as useful.

01

Start with the basics. Go as deep as you need.

You do not need technical knowledge or the right vocabulary. We can begin with the basic questions and gradually build a complete picture.

What is Bitcoin?

Bitcoin is a digital system for transferring value without one company or bank running it. The word also refers to bitcoin, the asset recorded on that network. We explain how it works, how new bitcoin is issued, and what it means to control it.

What is a blockchain?

A blockchain is a shared record stored and checked by many computers that follow the same rules. We explain what that can-and cannot-change, and why using a blockchain does not automatically make a product useful or trustworthy.

What is a wallet?

A wallet is the tool used to access and move digital assets. If you control it yourself, you hold the private keys needed to approve transactions. If a service holds them for you, you depend on that provider. We explain the difference, including access and recovery.

What is a crypto product?

Owning bitcoin yourself, using an exchange, buying a fund, holding a stablecoin, or using a blockchain-based service are different arrangements. We explain what you control, who you rely on, and which risks change.

02

Understand the product-not just the pitch.

A crypto product may combine a network, an asset, a company holding it for you, and an app. We separate those parts, then ask the questions that matter.

  • What problem is the product trying to solve?
  • Where would the benefit come from?
  • Who controls the asset, account, or transaction?
  • Who or what does it depend on?
  • What can be verified, and what is still a claim or assumption?

What Lovelace Loom brings

Not headlines or a list of coins. We give you a clear way to understand the product, question its claims, and see what still needs investigation.

03

What could this mean for a business?

We do not argue for adopting crypto. We help you understand where it might be relevant, where the complexity may outweigh the benefit, and what questions come before a decision.

Treasury and reserve assets

Some businesses discuss Bitcoin as a possible reserve. We explain the idea, the assumptions behind it, and the questions it creates around price swings, liquidity, custody, permissions, accounting, tax, and regulation. We do not recommend whether or how much to hold.

Payments and settlement

We explain where Bitcoin or stablecoin payments might affect cross-border payments, settlement speed, availability, or fees-and what they add around conversion, custody, providers, and compliance. We also show when existing systems are simpler.

Products and integrations

If you build software or services, we can examine whether wallets, digital ownership, or blockchain technology solve a real problem. If a useful technical direction emerges, separate Engineering work can follow.

04

A conversation built around your questions.

Keys is a private educational working session-not a generic lecture and not a sales call. Bring a product, a proposal, an article, a business idea, or simply a subject you want to understand properly.

During the conversation, we:

  1. Start with the basics you need
  2. Explain the technology and product in plain language
  3. Separate verified facts from provider and marketing claims
  4. Map possible uses, trade-offs, open questions, and areas that require a specialist

You should leave with:

  • A clear explanation of what it is and how it works
  • A view of where it may-or may not-be useful
  • A list of open questions and reliable sources
  • A clear next step if specialist or engineering work is needed

We adapt the depth to you-from “What is a wallet?” to custody, reserve questions, payment flows, or a specific product.

Bring the question you actually have

We will build the explanation from there.

Grounded in sources. Clear about the limits.

We use technical documentation, regulator guidance, and provider documentation whenever possible. We separate what the technical documentation says, what a provider claims, what the evidence supports, and what remains unknown.

We can explain how a product or proposal works and which questions it raises. We do not recommend buying, selling, or holding an asset; selecting a provider; timing a transaction; or choosing an amount or allocation. We do not execute transactions or take custody of assets. When a question requires legal, tax, accounting, investment, compliance, or cybersecurity advice, that decision belongs with an appropriately qualified professional.

Never send us a private key, recovery phrase, password, authentication code, or wallet backup.
